A healthy trajectory
Prakash Hospital Pvt Ltd, a 100-bed NABH-and NABL-accredited multispecialty facility, has been serving the Noida community since 2001. Founded by Dr V.S. Chauhan, a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon and traumatologist, the hospital embodies the mission of providing quality healthcare at affordable prices. With the motto ‘Cure and Care’, Prakash Hospital has attended to over a million patients in its OPDs and performed more than 50,000 surgeries, achieving excellent outcomes.
The hospital offers comprehensive services, including a state-of-the-art trauma and orthopaedics centre, two world-class operation theatres, ICUs, labour rooms and a range of wards to meet diverse patient needs. Its NABL-accredited laboratories, modern blood bank with component facilities and diagnostic services, such as CT scan, bone density (Dexa), echo cardiogram, USG and TMT, further enhance its diagnostic capabilities. The hospital also hosts a well-equipped physiotherapy and rehabilitation department.
“Prakash Hospital’s vision is to be recognised as one of the leading healthcare providers in Noida, Greater Noida and the NCR,” says Ayush Chauhan, executive director, Prakash Hospital. “Driven by values of ‘cure, care and healing’, the hospital strives for excellence in every aspect of patient care, treating each patient like family and continuously improving its services. At Prakash Hospital, patient well-being is the top priority, combining cutting-edge medical technology with compassionate care to provide a seamless and comfortable healthcare experience”.
Chauhan believes that multiple trends are transforming orthopaedic landscape, many of which are driven by advancements in artificial intelligence and data analytics. These include minimally invasive surgeries, robotic-assisted procedures and personalised treatment approaches. Such innovations are resulting in shorter recovery times, more precise interventions and better pain management for patients. Additionally, telemedicine and wearable technology are enhancing patient monitoring and post-operative care, leading to faster recovery, fewer infections, and reduced rates of re-operation. These advancements are making orthopaedic care more accessible, efficient and patient-centred.
The group also operates the Prakash Institute of Ayurvedic Medical Science & Research and the Prakash Institute of Physiotherapy Rehabilitation & Allied Medical Sciences, both of which are at the forefront of healthcare education, providing advanced learning opportunities in medical and alternative healthcare disciplines.
In addition, Prakash Hospital is equipped with a 24-hour pharmacy, a coffee shop and a fleet of ambulances, ensuring round-the-clock patient support. Centrally located in Noida and Greater Noida, the hospital is easily accessible and surrounded by greenery, offering a serene environment for recovery.
Bridging the gap
Going forward, the group aims to increase the reach of Prakash Hospital in Tier II cities and bring in the latest medical technologies that will contribute to better patient outcomes. Moreover, the hospital group is also planning to diversify into cancer care in order to bridge the gap existing at present. The vision is to make quality healthcare available to everyone and strengthen trust and innovation in healthcare delivery across India.
“Our strategy is to focus on areas that still lack essential healthcare services,” adds Chauhan. “The hospital aims to provide affordable and quality care, addressing gaps in rural regions. Our expansion into Greater Noida five years ago has been successful, and the upcoming facility near Jewar Airport would continue this approach”.
The recent EY-FICCI report on Decoding India’s Health Landscape examines the evolution of India’s health sector over the past two decades and projects its development forward to the year 2047. As India strives towards its healthcare vision for 2047, key imperatives include increasing the number of qualified doctors and nurses to more than five million and 12.5-15 million, respectively. It also aims at expanding hospital bed capacity by adding three million more beds, achieving 100 per cent health insurance coverage, establishing one medical college in every district and accelerating digitally enabled healthcare access.
India’s healthcare sector has made significant strides, driven by visionary leadership, strategic initiatives and collaborative efforts. As we reflect on the progress achieved, it is imperative to remain committed to advancing further.
