Eupheus Learning is transforming schools with technology-driven solutions

Eupheus Learning (a brand of Proficiency Learning Solutions Pvt Ltd) is one of India’s leading school-focused distribution platforms. This Delhi-based Edtech company started in 2017, offers technology-driven solutions to over 7,500 schools (around 2.2 million students) pan-India. Founded by Sarvesh Srivastava, Ved Prakash Khatri, and Amit Kapoor and backed by investors like Sixth Sense Ventures, Yuj Ventures, United Education Company, and Lightrock India, the start-up is a classroom-first and curriculum-focused company aiming to democratise access to 21st-century learning solutions in the K-12 space.

“Eupheus Learning is one of India’s largest school-focused distribution platforms and bridges the gap between in-classroom and at-home learning. We are actively working with schools and creating an impact inside the classrooms, as we believe that schools are the centre of learning that impacts every student,” says Kapoor, co-founder and director, Eupheus Learning.

The Rs250-odd crore company aims to reach around 17,000 schools across India in the next two years through its futuristic curriculum and specially-curated educational offerings in Kinaesthetic Learning, Reading Enhancement, STEM/STEAM, and English language learning via exclusive tie-ups with award-winning education technology companies from across the world. Though it has a pan-India presence, Eupheus Learning has the strongest presence in Northern India, followed by South and East India. In western India, its presence is limited to Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh.

In a short span of around 6 years, the company, led by a team of around 500 professionals, has onboarded over 6,000 premium schools that charge over R50,000 annual fees, and the rest are English medium private affordable schools with annual fees in the range of Rs20,000-Rs50,000 per annum. There are around 24,000 premium schools in India, and the company has a 25 per cent market share.

Huge opportunity

“We see a large opportunity and latent demand from the schools to innovate. We are now providing schools the option to pick and choose any of the stacks that we have. Our vision is to offer pedagogically differentiated technology-driven solutions that lead to critical thinking and the achievement of higher learning outcomes by seamlessly integrating in-class and at-home learning in the private school segment of the Pre-K to 12 market,” adds Kapoor.

Since September 2021, the company has acquired two companies. ClassKlap is a curriculum and technology company focused on grades 1 to 5 in affordable schools with unique Personalised Remedial Solutions (PRS). It is probably the only company to be featured in the Harvard Business School case studies for having a known impact on the learning outcomes of students through its proprietary PRS.

On the other hand, SchoolMitra is a home-grown SaaS-based school management software company with a unique platform unifying content management system (CMS), learning management system (LMS), and Enterprise resource planning (ERP) on a single sign-on for schools. The single sign-on facility creates a positive impact for all the stakeholders of schools alike – principals, teachers, parents and students.

We look forward to acquiring companies that address the issues of parents, students, and teachers via their products and services.
