The Samsung Galaxy S series has evolved from an Android challenger into one of the world’s leading AI-powered flagship smartphone brands. Over the years, the series has consistently driven mobile innovation while offering customers premium design, advanced technology, and an expanding range of intelligent features.
In India, the Samsung Galaxy S series remains a dominant force in the premium smartphone segment. It competes primarily with Apple’s iPhone, alongside major Chinese brands such as Vivo and Oppo. Together, these brands occupy the leading market share in India. With the introduction of the Galaxy S26 series, described as Samsung’s most advanced AI phone to date, the company aims to further strengthen its presence in this competitive segment.
The S series has built strong brand value by offering customers attractive financing options, solid resale value, advanced features, and regular security updates that ensure long-term reliability. This consistent focus on innovation and customer trust has helped maintain the series’ premium appeal. The new Galaxy S26 series has already received a strong response in both local and global markets, with a record number of pre-order bookings.
The three models – the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 – deliver some of the most intuitive and AI-driven mobile experiences to date. From managing schedules and retrieving information to capturing and refining images and video, the S26 series is designed to reduce the effort required to complete everyday tasks. The Galaxy S26 Ultra introduces the industry’s first built-in privacy display for mobile phones, reinforcing Samsung’s commitment to privacy at a pixel level. In practical terms, this means that anyone sitting next to you or looking over your shoulder cannot see what is on your screen.
Playing a pivotal role
“The Galaxy S26 series is designed to understand how people live and work. It marks a new direction for Samsung with Agentic AI that silently handles routine tasks so you can focus on what truly matters: spending time with family, boosting productivity, and enjoying everyday moments. Our engineers from the Bengaluru and Noida R&D facilities have played a pivotal role in its development, and I am proud to share that the Galaxy S26 series will also be manufactured at our factory in Noida,” said JB Park, President and CEO, Samsung Southwest Asia.
Galaxy S26 Ultra introduces a redesigned vapour chamber with a thermal interface material positioned along the processor, improving heat dissipation and helping the device remain cool during demanding activities such as gaming, multitasking, and video capture. It also brings super-fast charging 3.0, reaching up to 75 per cent charge in just 30 minutes.
AI-powered tools such as Document Scanner remove distortions and distractions such as creases or fingers to deliver clean scans instantly, while multiple images can be organised automatically into a single PDF. The Galaxy S26 series integrates AI agents including Bixby, Gemini, and Perplexity, enabling tasks to be completed with a single button press or voice command.
Pre-orders for the Galaxy S26 series are available across leading online and mainline retailers. Samsung has also introduced the Galaxy Buds4 Pro and Galaxy Buds4 with enhanced hi-fi audio. With the Buds4 series, users can activate AI agents through voice controls without reaching for their phones, further extending Samsung’s connected ecosystem.
According to company officials, Samsung’s goal is to make everyday tasks simpler and more efficient through the intelligent capabilities of the S series. The S series remains central to Samsung’s identity as a premium smartphone brand.
“The S series is very important for us. It is our first flagship, so it is very close to our hearts. The Galaxy S is where the entire Samsung flagship story began. Consumers who own the S series have been extremely vocal in sharing their feedback and helping us improve the series again and again. The Samsung Galaxy Series is a key driver for us. Our endeavour has always been to offer the right value at the right price. We believe that the Indian market is not price sensitive – it is value sensitive.”
Samsung continues to focus on expanding access to advanced technology across its product ecosystem, bringing flagship-level features to a wider range of devices for the benefit of consumers.
